Agar strips

Agar strips are a physical form of agar (in the form of strips), mainly extracted from seaweed plants (such as rockweed, kelp, and sea lettuce), and belong to a type of plant gum. Their main components are agarose and agar pectin.

Agar strips have the functions of thickening, suspending, emulsifying and preserving, and can form complexes with other substances. Mainly used in the production of jelly, pudding, fudge, ice cream, etc., to improve the texture and stability of food, as a suspending agent in the beverage to prevent particles from settling.
